Columbus Paul "Redeye" Michael

Columbus Paul "Redeye" Michael (81) passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born July 8, 1942 to the late Cleveland and Myrtle Wilemon Michael. He was a brick mason by trade for over 50 years. He loved the outdoors and listening to his deer dogs running through the woods. He also enjoyed quail hunting and fishing, but he mostly enjoyed eating the crappie and flathead he caught.

Graveside services are 2 pm Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Piney Grove Cemetery in the Tuscumbia Community with Bro. Allan Casteel officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 pm Thursday at Piney Grove Cemetery.

Columbus is survived by his sons, Mark Michael (Tabatha) and Richard Michael (Vet); his grandchildren, Tyler Bearden, Hunter Lambert, Kane Lambert (Charlsey), Kali Michael and Taylor (Rushelle) Michael; his sibling, Ruby Barron, Bobby Nell Gray, Barbara Ann Hudson, Jr Michael and Danny Michael; 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 61 years, Betty Sue Michael; his daughters, Belinda Michael and Bernita Lambert and his sisters, Mozelle Lewellen, Neva Whitley and Linda Walden.
