Clovis "Toad" Mitchell (92) passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was an auto body repairman by trade. He enjoyed mowing his yard, riding his tractor, gardening and spending time with his family. He loved that he was able to keep his independence and drive himself around throughout his entire life. He had an inseparable bond with his twin brother, Teed. For the last 13 years, he mourned the death of his loving wife of 55+ years, Helen Mitchell.
Services are 3 pm Sunday, December 22, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. David George officiating and his son, Tim presenting the eulogy. Burial will be in the Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home and 12-3 Sunday at the funeral home.
Clovis is survived by his sons, Randy Mitchell (Lisa) of Rienzi and Tim Mitchell (April) of Madison, AL; his daughter, Tammie Brewer (Clay) of Coldwater; his sister, Esther Johnson of Corinth; his grandchildren, Kevin Mitchell (Jamie), Kaely Mitchell, Brianna Mitchell, Austin Mitchell, Matthew Harris, Mitchell Harris (Melody), Mackenzie Harris, Cross Brewer, Summer McElroy and Houston McElroy; his great grandchildren, Tristen Mitchell (Alana), Karleigh Mitchell, Kassidy Mitchell, Johnathan Harris, Elijah Harris, Adalyn Harris, Isaac Harris, Brittany Phillips, Shannon Phillips and Ada McElroy; his great great grandsons, Roman Knox Mitchell and John B McCoy and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and his sisters.
Pallbearers are Austin Mitchell, Mitchell Harris, Cross Brewer, Matthew Harris, Kevin Mitchell, Tristen Mitchell and Sim Sutterby.
