Cherish Ann Shook Smith (47) passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025 at her home in Rienzi. She was a member of The Vineyard Church. She enjoyed fishing, shopping, having cookouts, looking at the stars with her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She loved her job and her friends at the Sprint Mart.
Services are 1 pm Tuesday, November, 4, 2025 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Sonny Knight and Bro. Tracy Arnold officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Rutledge-Salem Cemetery in Iuka. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Monday, November 3, 2025 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.
Cherish is survived by her children, Kyla Ridge (PJ Mitchell), Mikinzie Ridge (Kenny Duncan), Hunter Burns, Braxton Wheelington (Chelsea), Lilly Kate Whitley and Destiny Whitley; her mother, Debra Skinner; her brother, Robert Shook (Jessica); her sister, Dawn Wheelington; her aunt, Tippie Griffith; her great aunt, Dian Hurst; her grandchildren, Serana Duncan, Amelia Flurry, Autumn Mitchell, Henleigh Hollimon, Hayzlee Hollimon and Hallie-Klaire Hollimon; her nephews, Bobby Wade Wheelington, J.R. Wheelington, Eason Shook, Tyler Shook and Caden Shook; her special friends, Mandy Rogers, Misty Garvin Luker and Kristy Wilbanks Luter and a host of great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Shook; her grandmothers, Dorothy Shook and Faye Stroupe; her uncle, Eddie Honeycutt; her great grandparents, Braxton & Evelyn Luttreal and her cousins, Seth Honeycutt and Tony Knight.
Pallbearers are Braxton Wheelington, J.R. Wheelington, Bobby Wade Wheelington, Kenny Duncan, PJ Mitchell, Hunter Burns, Eason Shook, Tyler Shook and Caden Shook.
