Cecil R. "Cotton" Weatherbee

Cecil R. "Cotton" Weatherbee (88) passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a member of Gaston Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to be with his friends at the domino parlor, fishing, riding horses and tending to his dogs and chickens. He loved spending time with his family.

Services are 3 pm Monday, October 30, 2023 at Gaston Baptist Church with Bro. Marty Hurt and Bro. Jason Middleton officiating. Burial will follow in the Gaston Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 pm Monday at Gaston Baptist Church.

Cotton is survived by his sons, Jimmy H. Weatherbee of Rienzi and Wesley Weatherbee (Angie) of Rienzi; his daughter, Marsha G. Glidewell (Mike) of Corinth; his sisters, Mollie Jo Potts of Hinkle, Sandra Huddleston (David) of Booneville, Annette Richardson of Rienzi and Virginia Cummings (Roy) of Booneville; his grandchildren, Scotty Weatherbee, Jeremy Glidewell, Dustin Cox and Bobby Weatherbee and his great-grandchildren, Madison Weatherbee, Kara Weatherbee, Emma Weatherbee, Jaylon Bobo, Brennan Weatherbee, Baylor Weatherbee, Aiyanna Wallis, Madelyn Glidewell, Ethan Cox, Gavin Cox, Braxton Beckham, Waylon Beckham and Amora Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley & Alma Weatherbee; his wife, Jackie Weatherbee; his brothers, Donnie, Bobby & Hugh Thomas Weatherbee; his grandsons, John Wesley Weatherbee, Jr. and James Tyler Weatherbee and his daughter-in-law, Kerry "Tootie" Weatherbee.

Pallbearers are Scotty Weatherbee, Bobby Weatherbee, Dustin Cox, Brennan Weatherbee, Jaylon Bobo, Ethan Cox and Jeremy Glidewell.

Honorary pallbearers are his friends at the domino parlor.
