Carlton Edward Hall Obituary

Carlton Edward Hall (92) passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, surrounded by his family. Carlton was born November 7, 1933 in Lee County to the late Amos & Hester Cunningham Hall and he grew up in the Fairfield Community. He married Ruby Nell Timmons on July 11, 1954 and they were blessed with 65 years of marriage, which they shared happily together until her passing on July 15, 2019. They were truly great parents.

Carlton was a member of Parks Baptist Church. He was a retired factory worker, which included working at Blue Bell Jean Manufacturing and Barclay Furniture. After retirement, Carlton worked for 15 years with his son, Steve, in the lawn service business. He also took great joy in raising a variety of animals and built many meaningful friendships through trading and selling at First Monday Trade Days in Ripley. In his younger years, he loved fishing, camping and playing basketball.

Carlton was a good Christian man who loved our Lord and Savior, cherished his family, and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Services are 12 pm Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Parks Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Duley officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairfield Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Parks Baptist Church and 10 am until service time on Wednesday.

Carlton is survived by his daughters, Nellie Tate (Curtis) of Saltillo and Tammie Colbert (Ken) of Myrtle; his sons, Steve Hall (Connie) and Scotty Hall, both of Blue Springs; his daughter-in-law, Margaret Hall of Blue Springs; his grandchildren, Jesse Hall (Paula) and Amanda Thomas (Eddie), both of Blue Springs, Rhonda Pate (Jeremy) of Saltillo, Logan Tate (Heather) of Guntown, Kelly Stevens of New Albany, Aaron, Stephen, Lena, Allie, Anna and Wesley Hall, all of Blue Springs; his great-grandchildren, Gavin & Caden Hall and Sam & Carson Thomas of Blue Springs, Rain Judson & Corey Pate of Saltillo and London & Christian Tate of Guntown and a host of bonus grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Carlton was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Hall; his grandson, Kurt Stevens and his sister, Frances Gullett.
