Bro. Pete McCoy

Bro. Pete McCoy (84) passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at his home in Booneville. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was in ministry for 61 years, serving as pastor of Fairview Baptist Church for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, auctions, listening to bluegrass gospel music and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 pm Friday, June 5, 2020 at Fairview Baptist Church with his son, Bro. Mark McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am until 1 pm Friday at the church.

Bro. Pete is survived by his wife, Shirley J. McCoy; his son, Bro. Mark McCoy (Michelle); his daughter, Sheryl Tuttle (Jeff); his sister, Ruby McCoy; his grandchildren, Bryan Tuttle (Danielle), Joshua McCoy (Frankie), Stephanie Fulleborn (David), Stacy Nelms (Tyler), Jacob McCoy (Erica) and Lynette McCoy and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest E. and Rosie Barrett McCoy; his sister, Ophelia Trout and his brother, David McCoy.

Pallbearers are; Rick Trout, Bryan Tuttle, Joshua McCoy, Jacob McCoy, Bro. Ray Hall and Tyler Nelms.
