Brenda Marie Steen

Brenda Marie Steen (68) passed away Monday, September 29, 2025 at her home in Jacinto. She was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved watching football and baseball, but most of all she loved and was faithful to the Lord.

Memorial services will be 1 pm Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Ebenezer Church in Walnut with Bro. Titus Mathis, Murray Underwood and Bro. Shane Evetts officiating. Visitation will be 11 am to 1 pm Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Ebenezer Church in Walnut.

Brenda is survived by her sons, Clay Johnson (Jana) of Walnut and Michael Johnson (Teri) of Jacinto; her daughter, Jennifer Marlar of Thrasher; her brothers, Dickie Underwood (Carol) of Cleveland, MS and Alan Underwood of Horn Lake; her sisters, Margie Story of Southaven and Sheila Ross of Horn Lake; her grandchildren, Eli Howell of Middleton, TN, Sara Johnson of Walnut, Emalyn Marlar of Thrasher, Rachel Johnson of Walnut, Lacie Machado of Corinth and Liberty Johnson of Corinth; her longtime companion, Kenneth "Smiley" Ford; her cherished caregiver, Kevin Lance; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Eloise Underwood and her sister, Susan Koehler.
