Bobby "Bob" Eugene Grisham

Bobby "Bob" Eugene Grisham (92) passed peacefully surrounded by loved one's on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was born at his family home on Dry Creek on June 23, 1932. Bobby married Sarah Ruth English on April 12, 1951, a marriage lasting 66 years until her death on May 10, 2017. Throughout his many years of life, he was a dog trainer, athlete, coach, entrepreneur, visionary, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend and was affectionately known as "Daddy Bob" to friends and family alike. As a natural conversationalist and teller of stories, he never met a stranger.

Bob grew up on Dry Creek in Prentiss County. He went to school and played basketball at Pine Grove High School and went on to play scholarship ball at Delta State College. Bob and his wife Ruth lived and raised their family in Booneville, living their retired years in the Jumpertown Community. Bobby came to a saving faith in Jesus at an early age and remained a Bible believing Christian until his death. He enjoyed the fellowship of a men's Bible study group who meet every Tuesday morning.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Ruth English Grisham; his parents, Willard & Mauveline (Mubby) Nanney Grisham; his brothers, Bud Grisham and Jimmy Grisham; his sisters, Joan Wingo and Mary Ruth Prather; his daughter-in-law, Marsha Thornton Grisham and his great grandson, Mason Burns.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey "Jeff" Grisham (Debi) of Elkmont, AL, Sam Grisham (Karen) of Booneville and Robert Grant Grisham of Booneville; his daughters, Nancy Grisham of Booneville and Ann Ryan (Mitch) of Booneville; his sister, Doris Lee of Clinton; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Services are 2 pm Friday, February 21, 2025 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial will follow in the Jumpertown Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-2 Friday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home (114 Gaston Road, Booneville, MS).
