Billy Joe Moss, Sr.

Billy Joe Moss, Sr. (82) passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 due to injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He was a member of New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church. He was a dairy farmer and took great pride in his work. He loved being outside and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Services are 2 pm Thursday, September 5, 2024 at New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church.

Billy Joe is survived by his wife of 62 years, Martha Shackelford Moss; his sons, Roger Neil Moss (Tammy) of New Site and Gregory Moss (Marsha) of Corinth; his daughters, Leigh Ann Hopkins (Lance) of Burton, Lisa Slack (Jason) of Cairo and Lori Moss (Lynette) of Chattanooga, TN; his sister, Helen Barnes of Tishomingo; his grandchildren, Brittany Corbett (Daniel), Shelby Moss, Jason Turnbow, Tyler Moss, Tanner Moss (Lana), Emma Grace Moss, Zachary Moss, Jonathan Slack (Marleigh), Hayleigh Phelps (Nathan), Gracie Hopkins (Cody Frady) and Hayden Hopkins and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Pearl Moss; his son, Billy Joe Moss, Jr.; his sister, Eula Brown and his brothers, David, Lester & Carl Moss.

Pallbearers are Tyler Moss, Tanner Moss, Hayden Hopkins, Jonathan Slack, Johnny Lambert, Gerald Barnes, Dwight Brown and Freddie Clark.

Honorary pallbearers are Zachary Moss and Dennis Brown.
