Billie Joe "Jody" Gattis

Billie Joe "Jody" Gattis (85) passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a Deacon at Crossroads Full Gospel Church. He enjoyed hunting, riding horses, going to First Monday in Ripley and spending time with his dog, Scooter. Although he fathered no children, he was a daddy to many.

Services are 2 pm Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Crossroads Full Gospel Church with Bro. Stanley Shook and Bro. John Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Crossroads Full Gospel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the church.

Billie Joe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Gattis of Booneville; his brother, Ricky Gattis (Grace) of AL; his sisters, Carolyn Stewart of AL and Linda Congdon (Mike) of Booneville; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Linda Burns of Booneville, Ruth Ticer of Cairo, Stanley Shook (Pam) of Booneville and Jerry Shook (Barbara) of Jumpertown and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard McKinley and Lody Belle Gattis and his brothers, James and Arlon Gattis.
