Bennie Sidney Gilley, Sr.

Bennie Sidney Gilley, Sr. (66) passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Mississippi Trapper's Association. He retired from Corinthian Furniture. He enjoyed tending to his cows, hunting, trapping, riding his four-wheeler and working with his tractor.

Services are 2 pm Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Thrasher Baptist Church with Bro. Lonnie Murphy and Bro. Shane Evetts officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Thrasher Baptist Church.

Bennie is survived by his son, Bennie Gilley, Jr. of Thrasher; his daughter, Stacy Guspan (Bryan) of Thrasher; his grandchildren, Katie and Mitchell Guspan; the mother of his child, Judy Phillips (Roy) of Booneville and a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Thelma Gilley.
