Barbara Jane (Livingston) Morgan

Barbara Jane Livingston Morgan (85) passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026 at her daughter's home in Madison, AL after an extended illness.

She was born August 6, 1940 in Prentiss County, MS. She was a 1958 graduate of Booneville High School and she attended NEMCC and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. She married Gerald Morgan in 1961. They were married for 58 wonderful years before he passed away in 2020.

During the early years of their marriage they lived in TN, New Mexico and Florida before returning home to Mississippi to open Booneville Shoe Store. They owned the shoe store for 30 years before retiring.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, and politics, but her absolute favorite was spending time with her family. It thrilled her to watch her children, followed by grandchildren and great grandchildren learn and grow. Her love, faith, and encouragement will forever guide her family. We are deeply grateful for the life she lived and the unforgettable moments we were blessed to share with her. She lived her life with faith, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to her family.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Arby and Juanita Livingston; her brother, Joe Livingston and her sister-in-law, Donna Livingston.

She will be dearly missed by her three children, Karen Tucker (Tim) of Madison, AL, Jerry Morgan (Michelle) of Rienzi, MS and Susan Bugg (Mike) of Kossuth, MS. She was known as "Momma Jane" to her grandchildren, Kayla Corlett (Robin), Hunter Mooney, Mallory Settlemires (Chase), Tyler Tucker, Alli Scott (Blake) and Justin Morgan (Kennedy) and her precious great grandchildren, Mia Morgan, Lucy Corlett, Josie Scott, Sawyer Tucker, Taylor Morgan, Baylor Settlemires, Beau Scott and Max Corlett.

Services are 3 pm Wednesday, March 25, 2026 in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-3 pm Wednesday in the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Her grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.
