Anthony Brandon Yates (89) passed away peacefully October 10, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, MS. He was born June 13, 1935, to the late Frank C. and Ruby Yates. He attended school in Jumpertown, MS where he met and married the love of his life, Clydene Lindsey. After they married, he got a job with Hotpoint/General Electric, in Chicago and lived in Romeoville, Illinois. He retired after 35 years of service and then moved back to Jumpertown to be near family. Anthony and Clydene were both members of Jumpertown Methodist Church and both shared the same bible verse, "John 3:16."
Anthony enjoyed driving his zero turn mower, keeping a pristine yard, attending family activities, watching old time western movies and listening to gospel and country music, especially if there was a bowl of popcorn in front of him. He loved cheeseburgers, root beer floats, peach cobbler and Doublemint gum. Most of all, he loved the Lord, his wife, family and friends.
Services are 11 am Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Jumpertown Methodist Church with Pastor Chris Zirlott officiating. Burial will follow in the Jumpertown Cemetery.
