Annie Merle Ardis (87) went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the Mockingbird Assisted Living Center in Booneville. She was born June 5, 1937, to the late Lus Wallis and Pearle Jackson. She was a retired nurse from NMMC. She loved taking care of her animals and working in her flower beds.
Services are 1 pm Monday, February 3, 2025 in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Toby Mears officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 Monday in the Baldwyn Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.
Merle is survived by her daughters, Melissa Edge of Amory and Dee Morgan of Baldwyn; her grandchildren, Brandy Edge Wallis (Clay) of Baldwyn, Craig Morgan of Baldwyn, Justy Ardis of Olive Branch and Andy McCarley of Booneville; her great grandchildren, Sean Baughman (Kaitlyn) of Booneville, Chance Baughman (Victoria) of Dumas, Breana Hutcheson (Hunter) of New Site, Caleb Pounds (Hailey) of Baldwyn, Evan McCarley of Booneville, Brooks McCarley of Booneville and CJ Ardis of Olive Branch; her great great grandchildren, Virginia Baughman of Booneville, Peyton Baughman of Dumas and Jack Riley Hutcheson of New Site; her sister, Kathy Fleming (Whistle); her brothers, Skeet Wallis (Debbie) and Jim Wallis; her special friends, Sherry Lewis and Jan Trimble and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Ardis; her daughter, Mary Ann Ardis; her sons, Corky Ardis, Bink Ardis and Rusty McCarley; her brothers, Bud & Sonny Wallis; her granddaughter, Aimee Morgan; her sister-in-law, Lisa Wallis and her sons-in-law, Robert Morgan and Randy Mink.
Pallbearers are Craig Morgan, Clay Wallis, Chance Baughman, Caleb Pounds, Sean Baughman and Hunter Hutcheson.
