Amanda Kay (Morgan) Boren

Amanda Kay Morgan Boren (68) passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was an active and faithful member of Mt. Olive Church of God. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and assisting her husband in their ministry. She was a talented singer and musician. She loved taking care of and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife and a caring mother and grandmother.

Services are 11 am Monday, May 15, 2023 at Mt. Olive Church of God with Bro. Don Boren, Bro. Merle Dixon and Bro. Gary Hodum officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Mt. Olive Church of God.

Amanda is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bro. Don Boren of Booneville; her sons, Eric Boren (Jessica) of Booneville and Joseph Boren (Andrea) of Rienzi; her daughters, Kara Boren of Booneville and Kayla Hailey (Josh) of Macon; her brothers, Gary Morgan (Norma) of Jacinto and Jimmy Morgan (Judy) of Booneville; her sisters, Sue Floyd of Booneville, Paulette Starling (Don) of Guntown and JoLeta Morgan of Booneville and her grandchildren, John Isaac Boren, Mark Thomas Boren, Timothy Joel Boren, JJ Boren and Tucker Boren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie & Katie Lou Morgan; her brother, GE Morgan; her grandson, Eric Benjamin Boren II; her brother-in-law, Randel Floyd and her sister-in-law, Cheryl Morgan.

Pallbearers are John Isaac Boren, Mark Boren, Timmy Boren, JJ Boren, Tucker Boren and William Criswell.
