Alice Southern

Alice Southern (81) passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. She was a member of New Life Church of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, going to church and spending time with her family.

Services are 2 pm Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Harrison and Bro. Jay Fason officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 am to 2 pm Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Booneville Chapel of Kesler Funeral Home.

Alice is survived by her son, Ricky Chambers (Dora) of Blackland; her brothers, Melvin Harrison (Naomi) of Booneville, Sammy Harrison (Sherry) of Booneville, Gene Harrison (Tammy) of Grenada, Nathan Harrison (Denise) of Booneville and Gary Harrison (Diane) of Booneville; her sister, Ruby Moore (Bill) of Booneville; her grandchildren, Latasha Flurry (DJ) of Booneville, Shawn Chambers (Samantha) of Glen and Cody Chambers of Booneville; Eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Harrison; her mother, Hazel Alday; her sisters, Grace Gurley, Lisa Woodruff and Mavis McClellan; her husband, Jimmy Chambers; and her husband, Art Southern.

Pallbearers are Cody Chambers, Shaun Chambers, DJ Flurry, Justin Moore, Cayden Chambers, Anthony Harrison and Jonathan Nowell.
