Truman McVey (79) passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a member of First Apostolic Church. He enjoyed buying & trading, playing dominoes, going to church and drinking coffee with his buddies at McDonalds. Services will be 2 pm Sunday, September 22, 2019 in the chapel of Kesler Funeral Home with Bro. Melvin Harrison officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Huguley McVey; his sons, Terry McVey (Tracy), Mickey McVey and Gerald James (Sharon); his brothers, Doug McVey (Regina), Eldon McVey (Becky) and Billy Joe McVey (Betty); his sisters, Dorothy Floyd (Macky), Reba Kennedy and Mary Stacy (Billy); his step-children, Doris Johnson (Gerald), Ronnie Huguley, Sheila Brackeen (Michael), Lisa Lambert and Teresa Hazlewood (Jerry); his grandchildren, Le-Ann, Memory, Brandon, Jima, Jordan, Brooklyn, Taylor, Austin and Mikayla; 8 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Jimmie James McVey; his sons, Perry McVey and Gary James; his step-son, Garry Huguley; his brothers, Bobby Frank and Jimmy McVey and his parents, Dabner and Minnie Bell Hardin McVey.
